You deserve all the praise you get and more. Soak it in, because it needs to last a whole year until a whole new bucket of love comes your way.

Being a mom is so much harder than I thought it would be, and infinitely more rewarding, too. There are sleepless nights, helping with homework, getting everyone out the door, on time, with everything they need for the day. And for being tough when you needed to be.

Here's to you, mom, for all the moments of worry, stress, anxiety for yourself, and for your family.

Here's to you, mom, for trying to be a perfect mom, and for making the most warm and nurturing home to all, with warm-hearted meals that your kids don't automatically hate and make a face at.

Here's to you, mom, for singing the songs, putting on a gentle smile, breathing love into the physical and emotional hurts your child experiences that needed it. You're their support and guide.

Here's to you, mom, for making costumes, practicing lines, helping with projects, driving to and from intramural sports lessons, yelling your support like a banshee on the side lines, driven on field trips and done the last minute, what the heck, burger joint extravaganza. You're their hero.

Here's to you, mom, for being your best even when feeling your worst, opening your heart, and letting it shine to your loved ones. They are grateful for it. They feel it. And because of you, are that much stronger because of the amazing foundation you have built with them.

Here's to you, mom, for listening, encouraging, laughing and crying with them. They might drive you nuts many a time, but they have broken your heart wide open with their curiosity, huge amounts of endless love and laughter.
